Here's a bit about my story!

When I first landed in the UAE with my former employer, it didn't take long to realize just how crucial relationships are in this market. That realization sparked a vision: Calvin James Recruitment. I'd swiftly built a tight network in the region, realizing that clients were returning for me, not just the company I represented.
Launching a recruitment firm is no walk in the park, and doing it in a foreign land, that was a challenge of its own! My strategy was simple! Prioritize relationships and outwork the competition. These principles not only saw us through the trials of COVID but also propelled us to where we stand today, with a LinkedIn following of over 220,000 and the trust of major global players to shape their leadership teams. It's surreal to think back to our humble beginnings, from solo coffee shop sessions to a powerhouse team of recruitment experts.
At Calvin James Recruitment, relationships reign supreme. Our motto, "a people-focused approach for a people's business," encapsulates our ethos perfectly. Every day, i would feel the pain points from candidates in the market, even people who i didn't even know getting frustrated with me for not responding to their LinkedIn messages, which is difficult at the best of times as i get 100's per day, it was difficult, people commenting on the jobs I was posting saying they were fake etc.
As my Business grew, the volume of job searchers applying for my roles also grew.
Which is great, but managing and responding to everyone who reaches out can be quite challenging..
